أخرج أبو نعيم (12) عن أبى أمامة  قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : [ سيكون ] بينكم وبين الروم أربع هدن, يوم الرابعة على يدي رجل من أهل هرقل, يدوم سبع سنين, فقال له رجل [ من عبد القيس يقال له المستورد بن خيلان ] : يا رسول الله من إمام المسلمين يومئذ ؟ قال: المهدي من ولدي, ابن أربعين سنة, كأن وجهه كوكب دري, في خده الأيمن خال أسود, عليه عباءتان قطوانيتان, كأنه من رجال بني إسرائيل, [ يملك عشرين سنة ], يستخرج الكنوز, و يفتح مدائن الشرك

Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Al-'Aas that he said: "When the two old men rule: the old man of the Arabs, and the old man of the Romans, then at their hands will be the (beginning of) Malahim (Battles)." (Nuaim bin Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan)

 حدثنا أبو عمر صاحب لنا من أهل البصرة حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن عبد الوهاب بن حسين عن محمد بن ثابت عن أبيه عن الحارث الهمداني
عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضى الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال يكون بين المسلمين وبين الروم هدنة وصلح حتى يقاتلوا معهم عدوا لهم فيقاسمونهم غنائمهم ثم إن الروم يغزون مع المسلمين فارس فيقتلون مقاتلتهم ويسبون ذراريهم فتقول الروم قاسمونا الغنائم كما قاسمناكم فيقاسمونهم الأموال وذراري الشرك
فتقول الروم قاسمونا ما أصبتم من ذراريكم
فيقولون لا نقاسمكم ذراري المسليمن أبدا
فيقولون غدرتم بنا

 فترجع الروم إلى صاحبهم بالقسطنطينية
فيقولون إن العرب غدرت بنا ونحن أكثر منهم عددا وأتم منهم عدة وأشد منهم قوة فأمدنا نقاتلهم
فيقول ما كنت لأغدر بهم قد كانت لهم الغلبة في طول الدهر علينا

 فيأتون صاحب رومية فيخبرونه بذلك فيوجه ثمانين غاية تحت كل غاية إثنا عشر ألفا في البحر
ويقول لهم صاحبهم إذا رسيتم بسواحل الشام فاحرقوا المراكب لتقاتلوا عن أنفسكم

 فيفعلون ذلك ويأخذون أرض الشام كلها برها وبحرها ما خلا مدينة دمشق والمعتق ويخربون بيت المقدس
قال فقال ابن مسعود وكم تسع دمشق من المسلمين
قال فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم والذي نفسي بيده لتتسعن على من يأتها من المسلمين كما يتسع الرحم على الولد
قلت وما المعتق يا نبي الله
قال جبل بأرض الشام من حمص على نهر يقال له الأرنط فتكون ذراري المسلمين في أعلى المعتق والمسلمون على نهر الأرنط والمشركون خلف نهر الأرنط يقاتلونهم صباحا ومساء فإذا أبصر ذلك صاحب القسطنطينية وجه في البر إلى قنسرين ستمائة ألف حتى تجيهم مادة اليمن سبعين ألفا ألف الله قلوبهم بالإيمان معهم أربعون ألفا من حمير حتى يأتوا بيت المقدس فيقاتلون الروم فيهزمونهم ويخرجونهم من جند إلى جند حتى يأتوا قنسرين وتجيهم مادة الموالي
قال قلت وما مادة الموالي يا رسول الله
قال هم عتاقتكم وهم منكم قوم يجيؤن من قبل فارس فيقولون تعصبتم [ علينا ] يا معشر العرب لانكون مع أحد من الفريقين أو تجتمع كلمتكم

 فتقاتل نزار يوما واليمن يوما والموالي يوما فيخرجون الروم إلى العمق وينزل المسلمون على نهر يقال له كذا وكذا يغزى والمشركون على نهر يقال له الرقبة وهو النهر الأسود فيقاتلونهم فيرفع الله تعالى نصره عن العسكرين وينزل صبره عليهما حتى يقتل من المسلمين الثلث ويفر ثلث ويبقى الثلث
فأما الثلث الذين يقتلون فشهيدهم كشهبد عشرة من شهداء بدر يشفع الواحد من شهداء بدر لسبعين وشهيد الملاحم يشفع لسبع مائة
وأما الثلث الذين يفرون فإنهم يفترقون ثلاثة أثلاث ثلث يلحقون بالروم ويقولون لو كان الله بهذا الدين من حاجة لنصرهم وهم مسلمة العرب بهزا وتنوخ وطيء وسليم وثلث يقولون منازل آبائنا وأجدادنا خير لا تنالنا الروم أبدا مروا بنا إلى البدو وهم الأعراب وثلث يقولون إن كل شيء كاسمه وأرض الشام كاسمها الشؤم فسيروا بنا إلى العراق واليمن والحجاز حيث لا نخاف الروم

 وأما الثلث الباقي فيمشي بعضهم إلى بعض يقولون الله الله دعوا عنكم العصبية ولتجتمع كلمتكم وقاتلوا عدوكم فإنكم لن تنصروا ما تعصبتم فيجتمعون جميعا ويتبايعون على أن يقاتلوا حتى يلحقوا بإخوانهم الذين قتلوا

 فإذا أبصر الروم إلى من قد تحول إليهم ومن قتل ورأو قلة المسلمين قام رومي بين الصفين معه بند في أعلاه صليب فينادي غلب الصليب غلب الصليب فيقوم رجل من المسلمين بين الصفين ومعه بند فينادي بل غلب أنصار الله بل غلب أنصار الله وأولياؤه

 فيغضب الله تعالى على الذين كفروا من قولهم غلب الصليب فيقول يا جبريل أغث عبادي فينزل جبريل في مائة ألف من الملائكة

 ويقول يا ميكائيل أغث عبادي فينحدر ميكائيل في مائتي ألف من الملائكة

 ويقول يا إسرافيل أغث عبادي فينحدر إسرافيل في ثلثمائة ألف من الملائكة

 وينزل الله نصره على المؤمنين وينزل بأسه على الكفار فيقتلون ويهزمون

 ويسير المسلمون في أرض الروم حتى يأتوا عمورية وعلى سورها خلق كثير يقولون ما رأينا شيئا أكثر من الروم كم قتلنا وهزمنا وما أكثرهم في ههذه المدينة وعلى سورها

 فيقولون أمنونا على أن نؤدي إليكم الجزية فيأخذون الأمان لهم ولجميع الروم على أداء الجزية

 وتجتمع إليهم أطرافهم فيقولون يا معشر العرب إن الدجال قد خالفكم إلى دياركم والخبر باطل فمن كان فيهم منكم فلا يلقين شيئا مما معه فإنه قوة لكم على ما بقي فيخرجون فيجدون الخبر باطلا

 وتثب الروم على ما بقي في بلادهم من العرب فيقتلونهم حتى لا يبقى بأرض الروم عربي ولا عربية ولا ولد عربي إلا قتل

 فيبلغ ذلك المسلمين فيرجعون غضبا لله تعالى فيقتلون مقاتلتهم ويسبون الذراري ويجمعون الأموال

 لا ينزلون على مدينة ولا حصن فوق ثلاثة أيام حتى يفتح لهم

 وينزلون على الخليج ويمد الخليج حتى يفيض فيصبح أهل القسطنطينية يقولون الصليب مد لنا بحرنا والمسيح ناصرنا فيصبحون والخليج يابس فتضرب فيه الأخبية ويحسر البحر عن القسطنطينية ويحيط المسلمون بمدينة الكفر ليلة الجمعة بالتحميد والتكبير والتهليل إلى الصباح ليس فيهم نائم ولا جالس فإذا طلع الفجر كبر المسلمون تكبيرة واحدة فيسقط ما بين البرجين

 فتقول الروم إنما كنا نقاتل العرب فالآن نقاتل ربنا وقد هدم لهم مدينتنا وخربها لهم فيمكثون بأيديهم ويكيلون الذهب بالأترسة ويقتسمون الذراري حتى يبلغ سهم الرجل منهم ثلثمائة عذراء ويتمتعوا بما في أيديهم ما شاء الله

 ثم يخرج الدجال حقا

 ويفتح الله القسطنطينية على يدي أقوام هم أولياء الله يرفع الله عنهم الموت والمرض والسقم حتى ينزل عليهم عيسى بن مريم عليه السلام فيقاتلون معه الدجال

Abdullah bin Masud said that the Prophet said صلى الله عليه وسلم  : " Between the Muslims and the Romans, there will be a Hudna (truce) and reconciliation treaty to the extent that they will fight together an enemy for Romans (non-Muslim nation) and they will split the war acquisitions. Then, the Romans with the Muslims will invade Persia (Iran). The Romans will say: Split with us the war booties (spoils) like we did. So, Muslims will split with the Romans the war booties and children of Polytheists. The Roman will say: Split what you got of the (Persian) Muslim children. The Muslims will say: We cannot split with you the the children of Muslims. ... The Romans will invade and take over all of AshSham, except Damascus and Ma'taq mountain near Homs (in Syria) where Muslims will keep their children. Victory will be withheld until one third of the Muslims dies, one third flees and one third remains fighting. Each of the martyrs of the third who are killed is equal to 10 of those martyred in Badr (at the time of Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم ). Each of Badr's martyrs can intercede for 70 people, thus each of the martyrs in this battle (with the Romans) can intercede for 700 people. The third will flee can be divided into groups: one third join the Romans and say Allah has anything to do with this religion (Islam), he would have supported Muslims, one third say we'd better go back to the lands of our parents and they are the Bedouins, the last third say AsSham is ominous like its name sounds, so they leave AshSham. Then, the Romans will say: The Cross has won. Allah becomes angry and say: O' Gabriel, help my worshippers ! Gabriel will descend with one hundred thousand angels. Allah will say: O' Michael, help my worshippers ! Michael will descend with two hundred thousand angels. Allah will say: O' Israfeel, help my worshippers ! Israfeel, will descend with three hundred thousand angels. Allah will descend victory on the believers (Muslims) and descend his wrath on the disbelieves, so they get defeated and killed. Muslims will reach Amoria and the Romans there will offer to pay Jizya (penalty tax) in exchange for security. Muslims will accept this offer. However, the Romans will attack the remaining Arabs in their lands and kill all of them, to the extent that there will not remain in the land of Romans any Arab adult or child who has not been killed. The Muslims will be able to conquer  any city or fort in no more than 3 days. They will reach the bay (where Constantinople is located) and the water will expand (making it difficult to reach the city). So, in the morning, the people of Constantinople will say: the Cross expanded our sea and Messiah supported us. However, in the nest morning, they will find the bay has dried up and the sea will recede away from Constantinople. The Muslims will besiege the City of Kufr (Disbelief) on a Friday night and keep on chanting Tahmeed (Al-Hamd li Allah, meaning Praise to God), Takbeer (Allah Akbar, meaning God is Greater), Tahleel until the morning. At dawn, the Muslims will say one Takbeer, what is between the two towers collapses. The Romans will say: We were fighting the Arabs, but now we are fighting our God and God has destroyed for them (Arabs or Muslims) our city. The Muslims will grab the booties of war and gold. The Muslims will distribute among themselves the progenies of the Romans to the extent that each man will get 300 virgins to enjoy. Then, the Dajjal actually appears..." (Nuaim bin Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan)

 حدثنا ابن وهب عن ابن لهيعة وليث بن سعد عن خالد بن يزيد عن سعيد بن أبي هلال عن أبي سلمة
عن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص قال ينشأ في الروم غلام يشب في السنة شباب الغلام في عشر سنين ويكون بأرض الروم تملكه الروم في أنفسها فيقول حتى متى وقد غلبنا هؤلاء على مكان من أرضنا لأخرجن فلأقاتلنهم حتى أغلبهم على ما غلبوا أو يغلبوني على ما بقي تحت قدمي فيخرج في سبعة آلاف سفينة حتى يكون بين عكا والعريش ثم يضرم النار في سفنه فيخرج أهل مصر من مصر وأهل الشام من الشام حتى يصيروا إلى جزيرة العرب فذلك اليوم الذي كان أبو هريرة يقول ويل للعرب من شر قد أقترب للحبل والقتب يومئذ أحب إلى الرجل من أهله
وماله فتستعين العرب بأعرابها ثم يسيرون حتى يبلغوا أعماق أنطاكية فتكون أعظم الملاحم حتى تخوض الخيل إلى ثننها ويرفع الله النصر عن كل
حتى تقول الملائكة يا رب ألا تنصر عبادك المؤمنين
فيقول حتى يكثر شهداؤهم
فيقتل ثلث ويرجع ثلث ويصبر ثلث فيخسف الله بالثلث الذي يرجع
وتقول الروم لا نزال نقاتلكم حتى تخرجوا إلينا كل بضعة فيكم من غيركم فتخرج العجم فتقول معاذ الله أن نخرج إلى الكفر بعد الإسلام فذلك حين يغضب الله تعالى فيضرب بسيفه ويطعن برمحه فلا يبقى منهم مخبر إلا قتل ثم يمضون على وجوههم لا يمرون على مدينة إلا فتحوها بالتكبير حتى يأتوا مدينة الروم فيجدون خليجها بطحاء فيفتحها الله تعالى عليهم فيفتض يومئذ كذا وكذا عذراء وتقسم الغنائم مكايلة بالغرائر

Abdullah ibn 'Amr talking about the third War with the Romans said:

"A boy will appear among the Romans who will age in a year as a boy would age in ten years. He will live in the lands of the Romans, and the Romans will make him their king.

So he will say: 'For how long will we allow these people to overcome us in part of our own land? I will certainly go out and fight them until I overcome them in the lands they have taken, or they overcome me in what remains under my feet.'

So he will go out with seventy thousand ships until he lands between Akka (in Palestine) and Al-Arish (in Egypt),  then he will set his ships on fire. The people of Egypt will leave Egypt, and the people of AshSham (Greater Syria) will leave AshSham, and they will all go to the Arabian Peninsula. That is the day about which Abu Huraira used to say: "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has approached." A rope and a well-fed riding animal will be dearer to a man on that day than his family and his wealth.

So the Arabs will seek help from the bedouins, then they will march until they reach Amaq (valleys) of Antioch where the greatest of the battles will occur, until the horses are soaked in blood up to their flanks. Allah will withhold victory from all, until the angels will say: "O Lord, will You not help Your believing slaves?" So, He will say: "Not until they have had many martyrs."

So, one third will be killed, one third will retreat, and one third will remain patient (keep fighting). Allah will cause the retreating third to be swallowed by the earth.

The Romans will say: "We will keep fighting you until you bring out to us every one among you whose origin is not from you." So, the Ajam (non-Arab Muslims) will come out and say: " May Allah forbid that we should go back to Kufr (unbelief) after Al-Islam!" That is when Allah [t] (God) will show his wrath, strike with His sword and stab with His spear. None of them (Romans) will remain alive, not even someone to tell about what happened.

And they (the Muslims) will not pass any city without conquering it by chanting Takbir (saying Allah Akbar, meaning is Greater), until they arrive to the City of the Romans, and they will find that its gulf has dried up. So Allah [ta'ala] will make them conquer it, and on that day, there will be an over-supply of virgins, and the spoils will be distributed using large scoops."  (Nuaim bin Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan)

Constantinople was the capital of the Byzantine Roman Empire. Today, this city is called Istanbul in Turkey (Turkey's largest city), part of it is located in Asia while the other part is in Europe. Turkey is a Muslim country and Istanbul's  inhabitants are mostly Muslims. Constantinople referred to in Hadith seems to be a city of the enemies of Muslims. Therefore, this Constantinople of the End Times most likely is NOT Istanbul.

Abdullah bin Busr reports that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Between the Malhama (the final War or Battle) and the conquest of the City ( i.e. Constantinople), there will be six years, and the Dajjal (Anti-Christ) shall appear in the seventh year." (Sahih Muslim, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah) . However, Mu'az ibn Jabal narrated this Hadith by stating that these events will occur within 7 months, not years. He narrated that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Al-Malhama Al-Kubra (Big Battle), conquest of Constantinople, and the coming of Dajjal (Anti-Christ) will be (occur) within (a period of) seven months." (Abu Dawud and Ibn Maja)

Muslims, most probably under the leadership of Jesus, will rule the World. Thawban said that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Allah, the Exalted, unfolded for me the Earth, to the extent that I saw its Eastern and Western extremities. The Kingdom of my Ummah (nation) will reach as far as what has been unfolded to me. The two treasures, the red (Persian Kingdom) and the white (Roman Empire), were bestowed on me.... " (Sahih Muslim and Ibn Kathir's Nihaya fi Fitan & Al-Malahim)

The word of Islam will spread throughout the World, enter every home, and no one will be left who has not heard about Islam. Al-Miqdad ibn Aswad said I heard the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم say: "Not a dwelling (house) whether of brick, or fur will remain on the surface of the Earth that Allah will not ensure that the word of Islam enters it, either honoring an honorable person or disgracing an abject person." (Ahmad, Tabarani, Ibn Hibban, and Al-Haakim)

Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas reports: "While we were around the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم writing down, he was asked, "Which of the two cities is to be opened (conquered) first, Constantinople or Rome ?" He (the Prophet) answered, "The City of Heracles (Constantinople) will be opened (conquered) first!"  (Darimi, Ahmad, Al-Albany)

   حدثنا ابن وهب عن معاوية بن صالح عن حدير بن كريب عن جبير بن نفير عن يزيد بن شريح
عن كعب قال في فتح رومية يخرج جيش من المغرب بريح شرقية لا ينكسر لهم مقذاف ولا ينقطع لهم حبل ولا ينحرق لهم قلع ولا تنتقص لهم قربة حتى يرسوا برومية فيفتحونها
قال كعب إن فيها لشجرة هي في كتاب الله مجلس ثلاثة آلاف فمن علق فيها سلاحه أو ربط فيها فرسه فهو عند الله تعالى من أفضل الشهداء
قال كعب تفتح عمورية قبل نيقية ونيقية قبل القسطنطينية والقسطنطينية قبل رومية

Ka'b said: " In the conquest of Rome, an army will leave the Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, and Tunis) with an easterly wind. None of their rowing oars break and none of their ropes get cut-off, till they reach Rome. They will conquer it. It (Rome) has a tree which is mentioned in the Book of Allah ... whoever hangs his weapon or ties  his horse to it is considered by Allah one of the best martyrs. Ka'b also said: "Amoria will be conquered before Nicaea (a city in Turkey where today's Christian creed was formulated in 325 AD), Nicaea before Constantinople, and Constantinople before Rome."  (Nuaim bin Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan)

حدثني إسحاق بن يزيد الدمشقي حدثنا يحيى بن حمزة قال حدثني ثور بن يزيد عن خالد بن معدان أن عمير بن الأسود العنسي حدثه أنه أتى عبادة بن الصامت وهو نازل في ساحة حمص وهو في بناء له ومعه أم حرام قال عمير

 فحدثتنا أم حرام أنها  سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول أول جيش من أمتي يغزون البحر قد أوجبوا قالت أم حرام قلت يا رسول الله أنا فيهم قال أنت فيهم ثم قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أول جيش من أمتي يغزون مدينة قيصر مغفور لهم فقلت أنا فيهم يا رسول الله قال لا

The Role of European Christian & Jewish Converts to Islam

(a) Europeans who will convert to Islam:  Based Hadiths regarding the Malhama (Big Battle) mentioned earlier, it seems that some Europeans are going to convert to Islam and they could be descendants of Prophet Isaac. Some Europeans are descendants of Isaac عليه السلام .

Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: '' 'Have you heard of a city, a part of it protrudes into the sea ?' They said 'Yes'. He said: 'The Hour (of Resurrection) shall not occur till seventy thousand (70,000) of the descendants of Prophet Isaac عليه السلام shall conquer it. When they come to it, they (descendants of Isaac who are Muslims) will not fight with arms, nor throw arrows. They will only say: 'There is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest', then one of its sides will fall down. They will say for the second time: "There is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest', and then another one of its sides will fall down. After that, they will say for the third time: 'There is no god but Allah and Allah is the greatest', and then it will be opened for them and they will enter (the city) and acquire booty. While they will be dividing the booty, a caller will come to them and shout: 'Verily Dajjal (Anti-Christ) has come out.' Then, they will leave everything and return." (Sahih Muslim, Suyuti, and Al-Albany )

  حدثنا بقية بن الوليد وأبو المغيرة عن صفوان بن عمرو عن أبي المثنى الأملوكي
عن كعب في قوله تعالى فإذا جاء وعد الآخرة جئنا بكم لفيفا الآية قال سبطان من أسباط بني إسرائيل يقتلون يوم الملحمة العظمى فينصرون الإسلام وأهله ثم قرأ كعب وقلنا من بعده لبني إسرائيل اسكنوا الأرض فإذا جاء وعد الآخرة جئنا بكم لفيفا الآية

Ka'b said: " Two branches of the Descendants of Israel (Israelites) will fight in the Big War ( the third war against the Romans) and they will support Islam and its people. Then Ka'b recited verse 104 of Sura 17 of the Quran:  وَقُلْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ لِبَنِي إسْرائيلَ اسْكُنُوا الأرضَ فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ الآخِرَةِ جِئْناَ بِكُمْ لَفِيفاً  [And we said thereafter to the Israelites: Dwell in the Land (of promise) but when the Promise of the End comes, We gather you as a mixed crowd.]. " (Nuaim bin Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan) 

 حدثنا الحكم بن نافع قال أخبرني الذي حدثني عن كعب في حديثه
فيقول الروم للمسلمين خلوا لنا أرضنا وردوا إلينا كل أحمر وهجين منكم وأبناء السراري
فيقول المسلمون من شاء لحق منكم ومن شاء دفع عن دينه ونفسه فيغضب بنوا هجن والسراري والحمراء فيعقدون لرجل من الحمراء راية وهو السلطان الذي وعد إبراهيم وإسحاق أن يعطوا في آخر الزمان فيبايعونه ثم يقاتلون وحدهم الروم فينصرون على الروم وينحاز فجرة العرب إلى الروم ومنافقوهم حين يرون نصرة الموالي على الروم وتهرب قبائل بأسرها جلها من قضاعة وناس من الحمراء حتى يركزوا راياتهم فيهم ثم تنادي الرفاق بالتميز فإذا لحق بهم من لحق نادوا غلب الصليب فخير العرب يومئذ اليمانيون المهاجرون وحمير والهان وقيس أولئك خير الناس يومئذ فقيس يومئذ تقتل ولا تقتل وجدس مثلها والأزد يقتلون ويقتلون ويمومئذ يفترق جيش المسملين أربع فرق فرقة تستشهد وفرقة تصبر وفرقة تفر وفرقة تلحق بعدوها
وقال ويشد الروم على العرب شدة فيقتل خليفتهم القرشي اليماني الصالح في ثلاثة آلاف ومعه سبعون أميرا كلهم صالح صاحب راية فالمقتول والصابر يومئذ في الأجر سواء فيؤمرون عليهم أميرا ثم يسلط الله على الروم ريحا وطيرا تضرب وجوههم بأجنحتها فتفقأ أعينهم وتتصدع بهم الأرض فيتلجلجوا في مهوى بعد صواعق ورواجف تصيبهم ويؤيد الله الصابرين ويوجب لهم الأجر كما أوجب لأصحاب محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم ويملأ قلوبهم وصدورهم شجاعة وجرأة

فإذا رأت الروم قلة الفرقة الصابرة طمعت وقالت اركبوا على كل حافر فطؤهم وأبيدوهم فيقوم راكب من المسلمين على مرجه فينظر عن يمينه وشماله وبين يديه فلا يرى طرفا ولا انقطاعا فيقول أتاكم الخلق ولا مدد لكم إلا الله فموتوا وأميتوا فيبايعون رجلا منهم بيعة خلافة فيأمرهم فيصلون الصبح فينظر الله تعالى إليهم فينزل عليهم النصر ويقول لم يبق إلا أنا وملائكتي وعبادي المهاجرون اليوم ومأدبة الطير والوحش لأطمعنها لحوم الروم وأنصارها ولأسقينها دماءها فيفتح ربك خزانة سلاحه التي في السماء الرابعة وسلاحه العز والجبروت فينزل عليهم الملائكة ويقذف المسلمون قسيهم ويدقوا أغماد سيوفهم ويصلتوها عليهم ويوجهوا أسنة رماحهم إليهم ويبسط ربك يده إلى سلاح الكفار فيضمه فلا يقطع فتغل أيديهم إلى أعناقهم ويسلط أسلحة الموحدين عليهم فلو ضرب مؤمن يومئذ بوتد لقطع ويهبط جبريل وميكائيل فيدفعونهم بمن معهم من الملائكة فيهزمهم الله فيسوقونهم كالغنم حتى ينتهوا بهم إلى ملوكهم فيخر ملوكهم من الرعب لوجوههم وتنزع أتوجتهم عن رؤوسهم فيطؤنهم بالخيل والأقدام حتى يقلتونهم حتى يبلغ دماؤهم ثنن الخيل فلا ينشفه الأرض وكل دم يبلغ ثنن الخيل فهي ملحمة وهو ذبح فذلك انقطاع ملك الروم ويبعث الله تعالى ملائكة إلى ملاء جزائرها يخبرونهم بقتل الروم

Ka'b said: "The Romans will say to the Muslims: 'Leave for us the red people (meaning White people), the mixed people and the children of Sarari (one of their parents is a Roman)'. The Muslim will say: 'Whoever wishes can follow you, and whoever wishes can defend his religion and himself'. So, the red people, the mixed people and the children of Sarari will become angry and they will form a battalion (or brigade) and give Bay'a (give allegiance to a leader) to a man from the red people, who is the Sultan ( king, leader, or Messiah) that Prophets Abraham and Isaac have been promised (by God) to be given at the end of time. They will fight the Romans separately (from the other Muslims). They will defeat the Romans. Some of the Arabs and some of the red people, including whole tribes, will join the Romans. There will be four groups of Muslims: one group will be martyred, one group will flee, one group will join the enemy, and one group will have patience (meaning they keep on fighting the Romans). The Romans will get more tough on the Muslims. So, the Muslims' Caliph who is Yemeni from Quraish will be killed with three thousand Muslims, including 70 princes, each one is a commander of a battalion (or brigade) ... Muslims will give Bay'a to a new Caliph and he commands them to pray the morning prayer. So, Allah will see them and descend victory for them and ...Arch Angels Gabriel and Michael will descend with other angels (to help the Muslims)... Allah defeats the Romans..." (Nuaim bin Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan)

 حدثنا أبو داود سليمان بن داود حدثنا أرطاة بن المنذر قال
سمعت أبا عامر الألهاني...
ثم قال لي للروم ثلاث خرجات فهذه الأولى والأخرى يقبل جيش في البحر بألف قلع فيفرقونها لكل جند حصتهم ويتواعدون للخروج في يوم واحد فإذا كان ذلك اليوم خرج كل قوم إلى من يليهم من المسلمين ويحرقون سفنهم ويجعلون قلوعها خياما ثم يقاتلون ويشتد البلاء والقتال في الشام كلها لا يستطيع بعضهم يغلب بعضا ويحبس الله النصر ويسلط السلاح ويرزق الناس حتى يصير من شأن المسلمين أن يتحصنوا في المدائن ويحظر كتاب الروم في خلل المدائن وعند ذلك يغلق أعاجم حمص أبوابها على من فيها من ذراري المسلمين ونسائهم ويشتد القتال في أرض فلسطين أربعة أيام متوالية
وقال أبو الزاهرية إن شئت أخبرتك أول يوم من الأربعة وآخره فيفتح الله تعالى للمسلمين في اليوم الرابع وتهزم الروم ويتبعهم المسلمون يقتلونهم في كل سهل وجبل حتى يدخل بقايا الروم القسطنطينية ولا يلبثوا إلا يسيرا حتى يبعثوا إليكم يسألونكم الصلح
قال كعب فتصالحونهم على عشر سنين وفي ذلك الصلح تقطع المرأة الدرب آمنة وتغزون أنتم والروم من وراء خلف القسطنطينية إلى عدو لهم فتنصرون عليهم فإذا أنصرفتم ورأيتم القسطنطينية ورأيتم أنكم قد بلغتم أهاليكم وأهل صلحكم ثم تغزون أنتم وهم الكوفة فتعركونها عرك الأديم
ثم تغزون أنتم والروم أيضا بعض أهل المشرق فتنصرون عليهم فتسبون الذرية والنساء وتأخذون الأموال ثم إنكم تنزلون إذا قفلتم منزلا حتى تلوا قسمة غنائمكم
فتقول الروم أعطونا حظنا من الذراري والنساء
فيقول المسلمون إن هذا لا يسعنا في ديننا ولكن خذوا من سائر الأشياء
فتقول الروم لا نأخذ إلا من كل شيء
فيقول المسلمون إن هذا شيء لا تصلوا إليه أبدا
فيقول الروم إنما غلبتم بنا وبصليبنا
فيقول المسلمون بل نصر الله تعالى دينه
فبيناهم كذلك يتنازعون إذ رفعوا الصليب فيغضب المسلمون فيثب إليه رجل فيكسره فينحاز بعض القوم من بعض وكأن بينهم قتال يسير فينصرف الروم غضابا حتى يأتوا ملكهم
فيقولون إن العرب غدرت بنا ومنعونا حقنا وكسروا صليبنا وقتلوا فينا

 فيغضب ملكهم غضبا شديدا ويجمع جمعا عظيما من الروم ويصالح من استطاع من الأمم فهذا أول الملحمة العظمى ثم يسيرون فينفر إليهم المسلمون وخليفتهم يومئذ اليماني . كان كعب يقول هو يماني وهو من قريش .فيقتتلون في مقدم الأرض فيكون للروم السيف على المسلمين حتى يخرجوهم من معسكرهم وكذلك كلما التقوا يكون للروم الشف على المسليمن وكذلك يبلغ الأخبار حمص فلا يزالون كذلك حتى يعاين أهل حمص الغبرة والرهج فعند ذلك ينجفل أهل حمص الذراري والنساء ومن كان فيها من ضعفة الناس هاربين نحو دمشق فيموت ما بين حمص وثنية العقاب ألوف من الناس من الحفا والوغا يغني العطش حتى إن المرأة لتنشد كما ينشد الفرس ألا من رأى فلانة بنت فلان فيقول رجل يا عبد الله لقد رأيتها في مكان كذا وكذا قد عصبت قدمها بخمرها قد اختضبت دما ويشتد القتال بين المسلمين والروم ويحبس النصر ويسلط السلاح بعضه على بعض فلا يتنبؤا عن شيء أصابه ويقتل خليفة المسلمين يومئذ في سبعين اميرا في يوم واحد ويبايع الناس رجلا من قريش فلا يبقى صاحب فدان ولا عمود إلا لحق بالروم وتلحق قبائل بأسرها وراياتها بالروم ويصبر المسلمون إلى أن تلحق فرقة بالكفر وتقتل فرقة وتفر فرقة وتنصر فرقة

 ثم تقول الروم يا معشر العرب إن قد علمنا أنكم قد كرهتم قتالنا هلموا سلموا إلينا من كان أصله منا والحقوا بأرضكم ومواليكم
فتقول العرب للروم هاهم قد سمعوا ما تقولون فهم أعلم
فعند ذلك يغضب الموالي وهي حمية الموالي التي كانت تذكر
فيقول الموالي للعرب أظننتم أن في أنفسنا من الإسلام شيء فيبايعون رجلا منهم ثم ينحازون فيقاتلون من ناحيتهم ويقاتل العرب من ناحية

 فينزل الله نصره ويهلك ملك الروم عند ذلك وينهزم الروم فيقوم رجال على سروجهم عن متون خيولهم فينادون بالصوت العوالي يا معشر المسلمين إن الله لن يرد هذا الفتح أبدا حتتى تكونوا أنتم تنصرفون عنه

 ويلحقهم المسلمون ويقتلونهم في كل سهل وجبل لا يحل لمطمورة أن تمتنع ولا مدينة حتى ينزلوا القسطنطينية ويوافي المسلمين عند ذلك أمة من قوم موسى يشهدون الفتح معهم. يكبر المسلمون من ناحية منها فينصدع الحائط فيقع وينهض الناس فيدخلون القسطنطينية

 فبيناهم يحرزون أموالها وسبيها إذ تقع نار من السماء من ناحية المدينة فإذا هي تلتهب فيخرج المسلمون بما قد أصابوا حتى ينزلوا الفرقدونه

 فبيناهم يقتسمون ما أفاء الله عليهم إذ سمعوا أن الدجال قد خرج بن ظهري أهليكم فينصرفون فيجدون الخبر باطلا

 فيلحقون ببيت المقدس فتكون معقلهم إلى خروج الدجال

Arta heard Abu Amer Al-Al-Hani say:

" The Romans will have 3 invasions (against Muslims). In the second one, an army comes by sea with one thousand boats.... The fighting becomes fierce in the land of Palestine for four consecutive days. Allah will grant victory to the Muslims in the fourth day and the Romans will be defeated. The Muslims follow them and fight them in every mountain or plain until the remaining Romans enter Constantinople. Then,  they will ask for reconciliation. You will  enter into a reconciliation treaty with them for 10 years. You and the Romans will invade an enemy behind Constantinople. When you return for that invasion, you will see Constantinople... Then, together, you will invade Al-Kufa (a Shia city in Iraq) ... Then, you and the Romans together will invade some of the people of the East. You will capture women, children and money (possessions and wealth) The Romans will tell you: Give us our share of the children and women. The Muslims will say: No, we cannot based on our religion, but take from the rest of things (meaning from the possessions, etc). The Romans say: We will not take except from every thing. The Romans say: You won (the battle against the common enemies) because of us and our Cross. The Muslims will say: No, Allah granted victory and support to its religion. So, they will raise the Cross. Muslims become angry. A (Muslim) man will jump on to the Cross and break it. The Romans will leave angry and when you reach their king, they will tell him: The Arabs deceived us and withheld from us what we are entitled to and they broke our Cross and killed some of us. Their king becomes very angry and amasses a large army and reconcile with other nations. They will march against the Muslims. The Muslims Caliph will be the Yemeni and his is from Quraish. They will fight and the Romans will be winning. They kick out the Muslims from their locations... Victory will be withheld. The Caliph of the Muslims will killed with 70 princes (commanders) on the same day. Muslims will give Bay'a ( give allegiance to) to a man (as a new Caliph) from Quraish. A group (of Muslims) join the Romans, a group is killed, a group flees from the battle, and group wins.

The Romans will say: ' We have learned that you detest fighting us. Give us those who are originally from us and go back to your land.'

The Arabs will say: 'Here they are. They have head what you are saying. You know better (what to do).'

The Mawali (non-Arab converts) will get angry... They will give Bay'a to a man from among them. They will separate themselves from the Arabs. The Mawalis will fight the Romans from one side, while and Arabs will fight the Romans from the other side. Then, Allah will descend victory. The king of the Romans will be killed. The Romans will be defeated. The Muslims will track the Romans, killing them in every plain and mountain. No city will be able to stand in their way, until they reach Constantinople. Then, a group of the people of Moses will follow the Muslims and will witness (and participate in) the conquest with the Muslims. The Muslims will say Allah Akbar (God is Greater) at one side of the city. The wall will collapse, so people will enter Constantinople..."  (Nuaim bin Hammad's Kitab al-Fitan)

Muslims' Retreat to Medina during the third War with Romans

‏َ ‏‏قَال ‏أَبُو دَاوُد ‏ ‏حُدِّثْتُ عَنْ ‏ ‏ابْنِ وَهْبٍ ‏ ‏قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏نَافِعٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏ابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏قَالَ
‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يُوشِكُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ أَنْ يُحَاصَرُوا إِلَى ‏ ‏الْمَدِينَةِ ‏ ‏حَتَّى يَكُونَ أَبْعَدَ ‏ ‏مَسَالِحِهِمْ ‏ ‏سَلَاح
