Secrets of Sura Nuh (Noah)
Note from DiscoveringIslam.org: 1. The real name of the author of this article is unknown. 2. This article uses extensively Numerical Values of Arabic letters in analyzing the miraculous aspects of the Quranic Suras. This system of Numerical Values is specifically developed for Arabic letters and is not valid for English letters. Even though the author of this article makes frequent references to English words and sentences, all the Numerical Value calculations are for the Arabic letters only. The following table illustrates the Numerical Value of each Arabic letter:

[71.1]
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن
قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
[Surely We sent Nuh to his people, saying: Warn your people before there
come upon them a painful chastisement.] This Sura contains 953 letters.
Allah says also concerning Noah in Sura Al-Ankaboot (The Spider) (Chapter 29) : [29.14] وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمْسِينَ عَامًا فَأَخَذَهُمُ الطُّوفَانُ وَهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he remained among them a thousand years less (save) fifty years. Note: Sura 29 is called 'The Spider' and it is the Middle of the 29 initialed Suras. Its order in the Quran is 29. Prophet Nuh (Noah) p.b.u.h. remained among his people 950 years, that is 19 x 50. And what raises the attention is that Sura Nuh is composed of (950+3) letters. Is this just a coincidence? Or is there something mysterious in it? By analyzing it, we discover that one letter occurs only 3 times : it is the letter ح (H) in the following locations : [71.1] وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ [Surely We sent Nuh to his people.......]

قَالَ
نُوحٌ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي Nuh said: My Lord! surely they
have.................. And what is astonishing is that in the whole Sura we don't find the letter ح (H) anywhere else, except in these 3 places (and only when the word Nuh is mentioned). Statistically, also it is unusual: when we compare the occurrence of the letter ح (H) of Sura Nuh with the previous sura, (Sura 70), which has nearly the same number of letters, i.e. 951 letters, we find 10 ح are distributed among 9 different words. Another sura with also approximately the same amount of letters is Sura 61 which consist of 945 letters. Sura 61 has 13 ح distributed among 12 different words.
Noon Center For Qur'anic Studies & Research which is headed by Bassam Jarrar created a table listing the number of occurrences of all the letters of Sura Nuh, including the letters of the Bismallah (the opening verse). Table 2: Number of Occurrences of each letter in Sura Nuh.
Verse 14 of Chapter 29 (The Spider) tell us how long remained Nuh among his people: وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمْسِينَ عَامًا فَأَخَذَهُمُ الطُّوفَانُ وَهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ [And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he remained among them a thousand years save fifty years.] فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمْسِينَ عَامًا = Falabitha fihim alfa sanatin illa khamsina Aman = He remained among them a thousand years save fifty years. So we replaced each letter of this verse with the number of occurrence of the Arabic letters of Sura 71 : Nuh (see table 2):
Total =2014 (which is equivalent to 19 x 106 )
Now the Code of his remaining!!
953 years (953 is a prime number) Which position has this number? Let's look for it.
if we count till 953, we see that it is the 162th prime number. Remember this number , because it is the CODE for 953 , the years of Noah’s Remaining among his people. What is the significance of the number 162? This is my theory, and up to you to judge. The verse 29:14 says : …… he remained among them a thousand years less fifty years Two keywords are to be noted in this sentence : He Remained (Falabitha) and thousand years less fifty years. In my view, the number 162 is the code for ‘ He remained ‘ We see in the index of the prime numbers that the number 953 is the 162th prime number. (162, 953) = (He remained , 953 ) = He remained 953 … ALLAH WANT US TO BE SURE THAT HE REMAINED 953 years. Why is the number 162 the code for ‘He remained’ ? We already saw in the above table the words of the verse of 29:14 : (He remained among them a thousand years less fifty years) which were replaced with the occurrence of the letters of sura 71 i.e sura Nuh. When we ask how long he remained, the answer is 953 ( or 1000 solar years -500 lunar years). And we know that the number 162 is the index of the prime number 953. Now look at the word FALABITHA = he remained : This table shows the replacement of each letter of the verse 29:14 sentence with the number of occurrences of the same letters of sura 71 : Nuh (see Table2) Sura 29:14 : Falabitha fihim alfa sanatin illa khamsina Aman = He remained among them a thousand years less fifty years
HE REMAINED= 18+110+28+6 = 162 !!!
18+110+28+6 =162 !!! 162 the code of ‘ HE Remained ’….and the index of the prime number 953!!! Note : Gematria of ‘LABATHA’ or Remain `= 532 532 = 19 x 28 28 is the total verses of sura Nuh
Numerical Value of the word نُوحٌ ( Nuh)
Let us replace the words ( NUH REMAINED) by our values : Numerical Value of نُوحٌ (NUH) + Numerical Value of فَلَبِثَ ( HE REMAINED ) 64 + 162 = 226 which is also the Total Words of Sura Nuh We know that Sura Nuh consist of 953 letters. Nuh remained among his people 953 years. In other words, the decoding of the sentence ( فَلَبِثَ نُوحٌ = Falabitha Nuh = NUH REMAINED ) gives us indirectly 953 years.
We saw that each letter of Sura Nuh is symbolizing or equal to a year of his stay among his people. The total letters (953 letters) of Sura Nuh are contained in 226 words (total words of Sura Nuh). Let us decode the sentence : فَلَبِث نُوح 953 (NUH REMAINED 953 ) : 953 + Numerical Value of نُوح (Nuh): 64 + Numerical Value of فَلَبِثَ (remained): 162 953 + 64 + 162 = 1179 which is also equal to Total Words + Total letters of Sura Nuh : (226 + 953 = 1179)
· (a) The word Nuh occurs in the Sura Nuh (which is Sura 71) in verses 1, 21, and 26…..and these were the last time Nuh is mentioned in the whole Quran. (b) And the remaining of Nuh among his people (i.e 953 years) is in Sura 29:14 Let us decode the sentence : NUH REMAINED with the help of the Sura/verse set : NUH (Sura 71 in verses 1, 21, and 26 ) + Nuh's years remaining among his people was mentioned in Surah 29, verse 19. 71+1+21+26 + 29+14 = 162 !!! = code ‘He Remained’ = index of 953 in the prime numbers
· Nuh ‘Remained ‘ in the whole Quran 43 times….let us say in other words that the Occurrence of the words ‘Nuh’ in the whole Quran is 43 times . The title of Sura 71 is Nuh. The gematria of NUH = 64. He remained in the whole Quran 43 times. The code of ‘ He Remained’ is 162. Decoding : NUH REMAINED : Gem.NUH x 43 occurrence Nuh whole Quran + Code: He REMAINED 64 x 43 + 162 = 2914 Thus, the answer of ‘NUH REMAINED’ is 2914. What is 2914? Look good the number 2914 …and you will see hidden in it the sura 29:14 …..that is the sura which say : …… he remained among them a thousand years save fifty years !!!!!! Note :the word Nuh occurs 43 times in the whole Quran. Noteworthy that 43 is the 14th prime number (don't forget this point, we will need it later). The 3 last times occurs this name in sura 71 , surah Nuh :71 in the verses 1 -21 -26. In sura 71:26 it is the 43th and last occurrence. 43 +71 +1+ 21 +26 = 162, and 953 is the 162 th prime number and also the code of : he remained
· The whole Quran has 6236 verses. The last verse in which the word NUH occurs for the last time in the whole Quran is the verse 26 of Sura 71 (Sura NUH). If we count from the beginning of the Quran till this verse, we find 5445 verses. How many verses are left till the end of the Quran? 6236 - 5445 = 791 verses Nuh remains mentioned in the holy Quran only in the first 5445 verses in the Quran, and is not mentioned in the last 791 verses . Nuh remained 953 years on Earth among his people. Nuh doesn’t remain (is not mentioned) in the last 791 Quranic verses. This negation imply Substraction: 953 - 791 = 162 !!!!! Again this is the code for ‘HE REMAINED’ !
FACTS · 71 is Sura number of Nuh...28 is the total number of verses of this sura: 71 - 28 = 43 and it is the number of occurrences of the word NUH in the whole Quran !!!! · The word Nuh occurs 43 times in 28 suras . · Between the sura 29:14, where it is about the remaining of Nuh among his people, and Sura 71 (Sura Nuh where we will hear from him for the last time ) they are between them 43 suras. · The name of Nuh occurs for the last time in sura Nuh, number 71. So, how many suras are located in the Quran after Sura-Nuh? 114 - 71 = 43 suras !!! ( 43 is the number of occurrences of the word ‘ Nuh’ in the whole Quran till sura 71. But Nuh is not mentioned in the 43 last Quranic suras . · Before sura 29 (where it is about the remaining of Nuh among his people), there are 28 suras. After sura Nuh :71 (where his remaining is coded) till the end of Quran, there are 43 suras. Thus, the total suras before and after sura 29 to sura 71 is: 28 + 43 = 71 suras (71 is the number of sura NUH) · Verse 14 of Sura 29 (The Spider) tells us about the remaining of Nuh among his people: 29 x 14 = 406 Sura 71 (Nuh), has 28 verses, is the last Sura that mentions Nuh (Noah) in the whole Quran: it is his last remaining in the Quran . Verse 1+ verse 2+ verse 3+......+verse 28 = 406 !!! The same result. · Sura 29 , ‘The Spider’ , in verse 14 , mentions the remaining of Nuh among his people. 29 +14 = 43 and it is the occurrence of the word Nuh in the whole Quran, his remaining in the whole quran. Note also that the number 43 is the 14th prime number.
· The 19th word Nuh occurs in sura 19. · The name of Nuh occurs in 28 suras . The 19th sura where occurs this name is sura 38 = 19 x 2. The 19th word Nuh occurs in sura 19 -verse 58 . This verse has 29 words and the word Nuh is the 14th word. These 2 numbers 29-14 remember us of the Sura 29:14 where is about the remaining of Nuh among his people. A few other facts: · Sura ‘the Spider’ is the middle sura of the initialed sura groups . Verse 14 (where it is about the remaining of NUH) is the half of 28 which are the total verses of sura 71 Nuh. - Sura the Spider 29 – 14 verse = 15 ( that is the index of the middle-sura ‘the Spider’ among the initialed suras). - The Quran has 30 juz or parts. Thus, there are 2 main sections in the Quran, each section contains 15 parts . - The sura 71 has 28 verses and the verse 14 is the middle verse (28 - 14 = 14) : 71 - 14 = 57 ( Sura 57 which is called El-Hadid is the middle sura of the Quran which contains 114 Suras (Chapters). -Note : Sura 57 has 29 verses . Sura Nuh has 28+ 1 bismallah = 29 verses….Sura “The Spider” is number 29. - Sura 18 separates the Quran in 2 sections (this sura is in the 15th part of the Quran). The amount of the whole Quranic letters from each section is the same. The second section of the Quran contains 15 parts, and it begins in 18: 75… 75 – 18 = 57 ( again the number 57 which represents the middle of the 114 Quranic Suras)
Note: The Word Nuh occurred 43 times in 28 suras ( sura Nuh has 28 verses)… 43occurences + 28 suras = 71 and that is the number of Sura Nuh. You see in the table below that the total sum of all the words of the 43 verses where occurred the name ‘Nuh’ is 691 words. In other words, the name Nuh ‘REMAINED’ in the whole Quran among 691 words. Let’s decode the sentence : NUH –REMAINED- among 691 words – by replacing NUH by the values of Sura Nuh (i.e sura number, verse number + verse of basmallah)…the word –Remained- will be replaced by his code 162…and 691 words by the number 691.
The remaining of Nuh among his people is 953 lunar years….the decoding of the remaining of Nuh in the Quran with the help of the total sum of verse’s words where he occurs is also 953 !!!
The name of Nuh, Nuhan, and Ya Nuh occurred in all his forms in the whole Quran 43 times : NUH : 30 times NUHAN : 10 times YANUH : 3 times.
What is the total letters of the 43 occurrences of the name NUH in all his forms? NUH = 3 letters * 30 occurrences = 90 letters NUHAN = 4 * 10 = 40 letters YANUH = 4 * 3 = 12 letters Total of Letters of Nuh in all his forms in the whole Quran : 90 + 40 12 = 142 letters 142 = 71 x 2.....the total letters is twice the number of sura Nuh . What does it mean? They are in the whole Quran 3 suras which their Revelation number is the same as their Sura number order...sura 38, 71 and 82. Sura Nuh is the 71th revelation and its order in the Quran is also 71: 71 revelation + 71 sura Order = 142 , which is the total letters of all words NUH in the whole Quran. The last 43th occurrence of Nuh happens in sura NUH which is ordered 71 and has 28 verses: 43 + 71 + 28 = 142 NUH occurs in the whole Quran 43 times in 28 suras and the total letters of the word Nuh in all his forms is 142 letters: 142 + 43 + 28 = 71 x 3 Note that the Word NUH has 3 letters . NUH is named 43 times. He his the 3rd most mentioned prophet in the whole Quran after Moses (136 times) and Abraham (69 times). In the whole Quran, they are 85 non-initialed suras . Sura Nuh is the 42th non-initialed sura in this group. If we sum up all the order of the suras which are after sura Nuh we have: 43 + 44 + .....+ 85 = 2752 = 43 x 64 43 is the number of occurences of the word Nuh in the whole Quran . 64 is the gematrical value of the word Nuh. In other words, the number 2752 is the gematrical value of all the roots of the word NUH in the Holy Quran.
