Prophet Mohammad

Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) was born in 570 AD in Mecca and started receiving revelations of the Quran from God through arch angel Gabriel in 610 AD. He was an Arab and a direct descendent of Abraham through Abraham's son Ishmael.

Note that the pure Arabs are considered descendents of Abraham (through his son Ishmael); thus, the Arabs and the Jews are cousins.

In the Old Testament, God promised to make the descendents of Ishmael a great nation. So, Arabs are not evil people as many people in the West today tend to believe, but in fact they have been blessed by God.
